Welcome Messagefrom library director
Greetings to our library community and welcome back!
Last month we extended our open hours Tuesday through Friday with additional hours on Saturday. Holds pickup on Mondays during the Farmers Market continues due to popular demand. The public and staff reaction has been extremely positive, the library has been full, and we feel a sense of normalcy!
Thank you for your patience as we went through the process of library set up, hiring staff, and COVID safety.
We’re proud that our library art has returned and is beautifully displayed. We have a new Gallery show, Renewal, which opened with a reception on October 8. The closing reception will be January 7, 2022. On November 7, the Children’s Room was named for and dedicated to a very loyal patron, Joe Rock, whose family generously donated to the library in order to support children’s programming.
It is our plan to start holding author events again in 2022 and to develop new programs as health dictates allow. This will include children’s and teen programs.
In the meantime, sign up for our monthly newsletter, and come in to enjoy the peace and beauty of your library.
Thank you for your continued support.
From, Diana Godwin
