This performance is part of the 2023 Juried Art Show and Fall Series “OURSELVES WE SING: A call and response with Walt Whitman and our understanding of our American Democracy”.

The exhibition will run October 6, 2023 - January 5, 2024 with a series of five Friday evening events featuring ethnically diverse poetic responses, special installations and advocacy tables.

Daniel B. Summerhill is a Poet, Performer and Assistant Professor of poetry at Santa Clara University, who was selected as the inaugural poet laureate for Monterey County. Dirrick Williams will be in attendance on the 20th, representing the advocacy group BLAAC which he founded.
