An exhibition featuring paintings of California and France by Nancy Hauk will be on view April 17 to May 30 in the newly uncovered gallery space at the Pacific Grove Library.

Most of the works on exhibit were painted between 2000 and 2010. Subjects include pastoral French scenes, Central Coast seascapes, glimpses of "Steinbeck Country", gardens at Monterey's historic adobes, and innovative studies of Monterey County missions that integrate their decorative motifs. The show is curated by Julianne Burton-Carvajal.

The opening reception will be Friday, April 17, 5:30-7pm.Read more
